Membership is open to any person who has an interest in the sport of motorcycling
and group riding regardless of age, gender, race or religious affiliation. All
makes and models of street motorcycles are welcome. The Backroad Drifters allow
its members to be members of other motorcycle riding clubs provided that clubs
do not violate the mission of the Backroad Drifters.
In order to become eligible for Full Membership, a mandatory prospecting
period is required to allow us to evaluate your ability to ride safely and
competently and to allow you to demonstrate your interest in club activities
by attending meetings and participating in club rides and events. You will
have a full member assigned as a sponsor in order to guide you through the prospecting period.
After your sponsor feels you have satisfied these requirements, you will
be afforded the opportunity to be voted into Full Membership.
Prospective Members are urged to attend and participate in all
meetings, rides, events, functions and gatherings but are not allowed voting privileges.
